The Economic Action Network is pleased to invite you to the Economic Action Forum being held in Montreal on May 17-18, 2016. This exclusive event is free.

More than 200 business and community leaders from across the country will gather at the Bonaventure Hotel in downtown Montreal to network and share best practices. Guest speakers from both the federal and provincial governments and from the private sector will share their vision of economic development during plenary sessions on Tourism and Green Economy, or in our workshops on Skills Training and Supporting Small Businesses.

In 2015, CEDEC, RDÉE Canada, and Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) joined forces to launch the Economic Action Network. This network collaborates with Canada’s leaders in economic development within and beyond English and French official language minority communities. Additionally, the Framework for the Canadian Plan for Economic Development of Official Language Minority Communities (OLMCs),  also published in 2015, outlines how Canada's linguistic duality is a key competitive advantage for local communities and all of Canada, as it provides new trade opportunities and better access to diverse markets.

The Economic Action Forum will provide attendees with the tools they need to navigate emerging topics facing small and medium-sized enterprises, such as greening businesses, supporting skills development, promoting travel and tourism, enabling entrepreneurship and more.

We look forward to welcoming you to the opening reception at 5:00 PM on May 17 in Salon Ville-Marie of the Bonaventure Hotel.
